Our Santa Cruz cuvée is always intended to be an overview of the vintage, the vineyards and the appellation. The growing season was shorter and drier with lower yields and the wine expresses that. Additionally, there's a layer of spice on a base of that cranberry/strawberry fruit that we expect from the Santa Cruz Mountains. Our goal is to produce a wine that is restrained and true to the appellation. This cuvée is the most accessible Pinot early on, but this vintage particularly should age well too.
