Eric Rodez Rose de Maceration Grand Cru Champagne NV (DG:06/23)
While his career began with a tenure at the legendary Krug, Eric Rodez has been making champagne under his own label for 39 years, tending his vineyards and fine-tuning his cellar methods to create some of the most astounding, electric champagnes available. This brut rosé is a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay: 40% of the blend is Pinot Noir that has spent time on the skins, 30% Pinot Noir direct press, and 30% Chardonnay. Just over half of the blend is comprised of reserve wines, with the same amount undergoing malolactic fermentation
